Chicago Youth Centers (CYC), the largest independent, locally based, multi-site youth services organization in Chicago, will welcome Barbara J. Mosacchio as its news President and CEO, effective July, 2012.
Mosacchio comes to CYC as a proven leader with an extensive career in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Currently, Mosacchio serves as the CEO of the Atlanta Women’s foundation—an organization dedicated to providing funding for programs that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls.
Mosacchio is a Chicago native who looks forward to sharing her vision and success with CYC’s talented and dedicated team. “I was born and raised in Chicago so I am coming home to do what I believe will be the most important work of my professional career in a city that I hold very close to my heart.”
Mosacchio will be replacing current CYC President and CEO J. Harry Wells who will be retiring from CYC at the end of June.
