Activate 2013

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsThe Architecture for Humanity Chicago, Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), Alderman Danny Solis, and Latent Design, are calling on residents to enter the ACTIVATE 2013 Design Competition to ‘redefine public space in Chicago.’ This collaborative effort is meant to transform neglected, inaccessible, vacant spaces into meaningful places that facilitate community engagement and growth. ACTIVATE 2013 is open to all who would like to submit their entries to beautify public spaces across the city. Deadline for entries is March 15th. This year, ACTIVATE 2013 is looking to redesign the sites of 62nd and Drexel; Laflin and Blue Island; Jackson and Homan; and Wisconsin and Lincoln.
