Altus Academy is a new private, independent, non-profit, college preparatory middle school aimed to serve students and families who normally would not be able to afford a high-quality private education. Altus will welcome its inaugural class of 5th grade boys on August 7, 2013. Altus Academy has partnered with Chicago Hope Academy and is located on the campus of the private-independent High School. Altus Academy school leaders will host an information session for interested families at its location on the campus of Hope Academy (2189 W Bowler St, Chicago, IL 60612) on Saturday, May 18 at 9:00a.m. (From 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.).

By attending Altus Academy, Latino and African-American students from our neighborhoods will acquire a solid academic foundation and the character formation needed to succeed in selective high schools, college, and their adult lives. Altus Academy has partnered with Northern Illinois University (NIU) to develop curriculum and support programs that will help students gain 21st century learning skills.
