On Tuesday, August 6th, Cicero’s President Larry Dominick hosted a celebration in the Town of Cicero in honor of National Night Out.
National Night Out, “America’s Night out Against Crime,” is held in an effort to promote involvement in crime and drug prevention activities.
Hundreds of Cicero residents attended the free event, which was held in the Cicero Community Center from 6-9pm. Free food, music, and other family oriented activities, which encouraged the fight against crime, were provided at the event.
Illinois State Senator Martin Sandoval (D-Cicero) praised President Dominick for hosting the event. “The President is sending a message to criminals. The Town of Cicero has joined forces with the police, elected officials and its residents to fight crime and drugs.”
