Hundreds attended Brighton Park Neighborhood Council and the Kelly Park Advisory Committee’s first organized Brighton Park festival at Kelly Park, last Saturday. At the fest, BPNC announced that the organization won a $200,000 through a national competition sponsored by the NFL and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation. In addition to this announcement, Pat Levar, the COO of the Chicago Park District revealed that CPD will match this award with $500,000 of funding to go towards the complete renovation of Kelly Park.
