Recognizing the need to promote the advancement of Hispanics and other groups in higher education, St. Augustine College (SAC) and Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) signed an agreement of collaboration at St. Augustine’s main campus. As part of this agreement, SAC and Northeastern’s El Centro Campus will support one another and to provide accessible, quality, affordable educational opportunities and other services to its surrounding community and to pursue mutually beneficial opportunities.

Northeastern will cooperate with St. Augustine College by providing access to the space and resources of its new El Centro Campus. St. Augustine College will provide access to its community of students and faculty to the students and faculty of Northeastern Illinois University’s El Centro Campus.

This partnership is especially important for Northeastern as it prepares for a fall 2014 opening of its new El Centro Campus. The new NEIU El Centro Campus currently is under construction in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood at 3390 N. Avondale Ave., near the intersection of the Kennedy Expressway and Kimball Avenue. In addition to serving Northeastern students, the NEIU El Centro Campus is dedicated to providing resources to its surrounding community.
