The Cinco De Miler race is coming to Chicago this year for the fourth year in a row on May 4th. The race will take place at Montrose Harbor in Chicago, and will include a five mile race to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Post race, a fiesta with live music and celebratory activities will take place. The top three placed finishers will receive winner’s sombreros for first, second, and third place at the award ceremony at the fiesta.
The official charity partner of the Cinco De Miler in Chicago is the 100 Club of Chicago. The purpose of this organization is to provide for the surviving spouses and dependents of law enforcement officers, firefighters and paramedics who lose their lives in the line of duty. As the race kicks off at Montrose Harbor on May 4, Chicago’s general public should anticipate street closures from 6:30am to 10am on race day, and will resume to normal by the end of the morning.
