State Representative Silvana Tabares is urging area residents to help clean up local neighborhoods by joining her for her Community Clean-Up and Graffiti Removal on Saturdays, April 12.

“We’ve worked hard to build our homes and neighborhoods, and graffiti disrespects that hard work and ruins the beauty of our communities,” Tabares said. “But we can make a difference. We can take action and take our neighborhoods back. It starts with something as simple as graffiti removal.”

Volunteers will meet at Tabares’ constituent service office, 2458 S. Millard Ave., Unit 2A, in Chicago at 10 a.m. Tabares will hold other graffiti removal events throughout the spring and summer to help get rid of graffiti and keep neighborhoods clean. Local residents who find graffiti on their property are encouraged to request graffiti removal assistance by calling Tabares’ constituent service office at 773-522-1315 or emailing rep.tabares@gmail.com.
