Thousands of volunteers were part of the solution this past Saturday as they descended onto the Daily Plaza for Chicago Cares annual Serve-a-thon event. Serve-a-thon is the largest single day of community service in Chicago where volunteers are driven to over 30 sites across Chicago to spend day beautifying schools, gardens, parks, and much more. This year, 5,000 volunteers joined in the efforts to be part of the solution and create beautiful spaces for Chicago residents.
