48 Scholarship Winners to be Announced from Across Illinois at Luncheon

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is pleased to announce that it will honor 48 college-bound youth on Friday, July 18 from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Alhambra Palace, 1240 W. Randolph Street, in Chicago.

Invited guests include the 4-year scholarship recipients and their families, a former youth-in-care guest speaker, government officials and more. Youth were selected from nearly 300 applicants from across the state on the basis of academic achievement, community involvement and an essay.
