Chicago Public Schools (CPS) issued an RFP on Tuesday seeking proposals from agencies to manage and secure partnerships with organizations interested in entering into sponsorship agreements with CPS and individual District schools. By partnering with high-caliber organizations to sponsor and promote CPS athletic programs and other activities, the district hopes to generate new revenue streams that will benefit students and staff throughout the city.
The RFP seeks proposals from agencies that will bring industry expertise and advise on generating revenue through sponsorships, broadcasting, advertising, promotional materials, naming rights, branded paraphernalia and idea generation. The agency will be expected to work with CPS to eliminate inefficiencies that deter partnerships, improve lines of communication across the district, establish common standards for service across the district, and advise the district how to best structure ourselves to most rapidly implement this initiative. As part of the RFP, the agency will be expected to advise on opportunities ranging from large District-wide sponsorships down to one-off school-level events and will only select proposals that are in the best interest of CPS and its students.
