To promote healthy dental hygiene among our youth, state Rep. Elizabeth “Lisa” concluded the annual Dental Essay Contest and presented 6 winners with prizes and certificates. The 6 students were: 1st place winner Athziri Garcia (5th grade) from Wilson Elementary School; 2nd place winner Adrian Arreola (6th grade) from Wilson Elementary School; 1st place winner Lorena Angelica Nava (8th grade) from Unity Junior High School; 3rd place winner Daniella Murillo (4th grade) from Wilson Elementary School; 3rd place winner Adrian Obacz (7th grade) from Unity Junior High School; and 2nd place winner Cesar Miramontes (8th grade) from Unity Junior High School.

“I am very proud to see so many students get involved and create these wonderful essays that express the importance of having good dental hygiene,” Hernandez said. “It was very difficult to choose the best essay entries because they were all great and incredibly well done.” For questions or comments, please call Rep.
