Recently, in recognition of his commitment to the progress of the Hispanic Community, especially in the field of education, Andrew C. Sund, Ph.D., President of St. Augustine College, was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation (ILLCF). The organization is a nonpartisan, non-for-profit entity, integrated by community and business leaders and members of the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus. The ILLCF’s objective is to provide and develop leadership at the community level and in the area of public policy, focusing on initiatives that include: promoting personal development; facilitating access and information about federal, state and local programs; and expanding educational opportunities for youth in community. “It’s an honor to serve and promote the mission of an organization that strives to improve life conditions and to open opportunities for progress in our community,” declared Dr. Sund.
