Those close to me know I am a travel enthusiast. It does not take much convincing for me to pack my bags and hit the road to discover a new, remarkable city. So when GMC contacted Lawndale Bilingual Newspaper to partake in the GMC 100-Year Media Drive, I delightedly accepted. One hundred years ago, in the summer of 1916, a husband and wife team crossed the country from Seattle to New York and back in a GMC truck, which was not an easy feat in the days before a highway system was established. To commemorate the historic event GMC called upon media across the country to test the 2017 Acadia All Terrain by hopping in and enjoying all the wonderful features the Acadia has to offer. I took over the wheel from Indianapolis to Kanas City, MO and have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the smooth ride as I visited White River State Park in Indianapolis, to Gateway Arch in St. Louis, MO, to Mark Twain National Forest, in Cesar Creek Trail, MO, culminating in the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City. Every mile of the way was wildly comfortable and safe, especially with the help of GMC’s OnStar feature. Below you will find additional features to look for if you are in the market for a new car.
