Latinx youth from Logan Square orchestrated an event as part of #BrownInChicago, a project led by youth housing activists at Logan Square Neighborhood Association, who presented stories, poetry, a photo gallery, and family trees of their lives growing up in a neighborhood many of them believe is becoming gentrified. The project collaborated with Logan Square Arts and Craft Bazaar, artisans who were able to showcase their work. The event took place on Saturday, April 15th at Hairpin Arts Center located at 2810 N. Milwaukee Ave. The event included face painting, Zumba, and folkloric dancers.
