Alderman Edward M. Burke (14th) hosted fourth and fifth grade students from St. Bruno’s School located in the Archer Heights community to a tour of Chicago’s City Hall. Teachers and students were escorted into the City Council Chambers, the Mayor’s outer office and the Press Conference Room and viewed three permanent exhibits dedicated to Chicago history installed by Alderman Burke including, “Chicago: Its City Halls and Councils,” “Chicago Hosts the World’s Fair” and “The Women of the City Council.” “It is my hope that St. Bruno’s visit provided a memorable experience that will prompt these young students to pursue an interest in both history and public service,” Alderman Burke said.
