Illinois State Senator and Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Chairman Martin A. Sandoval will be the speaker at Morton College’s 92nd Annual Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 19th. “We are honored and privileged to have an individual of Senator Sandoval’s stature share his story of perseverance, determination and success with our graduates on their special day,” said President of Morton College Dr. Stan Fields. “I have heard Senator Sandoval at an event recognizing student success and he was extremely inspiring. I look for him to make a similar impact at Morton College.” Senator Sandoval has more than 30 years of leadership experience at the highest levels of state, county, and federal government. His service includes appointments to the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washing D.C., and Chicago. He is currently serving his fifth term as State Senator. “I am honored to be Morton College’s 2017 Graduation Commencement Speaker. I believe that the core of our youth’s success lies in the school system,” said Senator Sandoval.
