The Noble Network of Charter Schools is pleased to announce it has named Constance Jones Brewer as its new president. Noble serves over 12,000 Chicago public school students at 18 campuses across the city and is nationally recognized for its student performance and the collegiate success of its graduates. “Having Constance accept the responsibility to lead our talented administrators, outstanding teachers, and treasured students is a true blessing for all of us,” said Michael Milkie, Noble’s founder and superintendent. “We know her, we trust her, and we respect her – we even strive to emulate her, which is the highest compliment.” Constance added, “I am fully committed to Noble’s mission and I am proud of our schools’ continued success. I love our students, teachers, and families, each one with their own unique story, and I hope I can play a small role in helping them fulfill their dreams and aspirations. I am inspired and motivated by them each day. While every organization has areas that can be identified for improvement, my initial goal is simply to facilitate our continued success of having virtually every one of our graduates accepted into four-year colleges and universities.” A lifelong advocate for educational opportunity, Constance was first introduced to Noble in 2010, when she became a volunteer advisor to young women in UIC College Prep’s founding class while a leader at the national nonprofit KIPP Foundation. Her commitment to Noble’s mission and Chicago ultimately led Brewer to assume the role of Noble’s chief external affairs officer in 2015. Prior to her educational leadership roles at KIPP and Noble, Brewer held management roles at Hyatt Hotels and Johnson & Johnson. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School after earning her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
