Brooke Feigenbaum has worked for the past five years at iconic advertising agency Leo Burnett in Chicago, but the newspaper industry has been a part of her life for even longer. Feigenbaum has been named director of revenue for the Illinois Press Association. She started work Aug. 22 from the IPA’s office in Springfield. “As a Chicago native who has also lived in both Southern and Central Illinois, I’m very eager to bring a fresh perspective to the IPA,” Feigenbaum said. “Since I was a child, I’ve had such a love and appreciation for the newspaper industry. My stepfather has worked in the media for nearly 30 years, and at the Chicago Tribune for more than 22 years. His time there really opened up my eyes at a young age.”
As director of revenue, Feigenbaum will sell advertising into the IPA’s member newspapers. She also will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies for all of the Association’s revenue efforts — PressLines, IPA Media Services, sponsorships, exhibitors and more. “We are really excited to have Brooke join the IPA in the newly created position of revenue director,” said Sam Fisher, president and chief executive officer of the Illinois Press Association. “Brooke has tremendous experience and expertise, not only in newspapers but other media as well.” Feigenbaum graduated in 2012 from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality and tourism. She worked as a project manager at Pepper Global in Chicago from 2013 to 2014.
