Illinois HIV Care Connect launched its HIV Innovation web and social media campaign, showcasing several Illinois HIV initiatives that are helping to prevent or treat HIV more effectively. Articles about five initiatives so far are located on the HIV Innovation page of hivcareconnect.com. The page features the Getting to Zero Illinois HIV Dashboard, the Central Illinois Friends organization, the Transgender Women Involved in Strategies for Transformation (TWIST) intervention being implemented by the Community Wellness Project in E. St. Louis, RuralHarmony’s outreach and research effort, and Cicero’s Corazón Community Services. More articles will be added in the coming months. The #HIVInnovation campaign will be visible on Illinois HIV Care Connect’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram social media platforms. A quiz relating to the five initiatives offers an easy way to understand how innovative programs are improving the lives of persons living with HIV in Illinois. The HIV Innovation campaign is Illinois HIV Care Connect’s eighth annual quality improvement initiative, following programs on HIV stigma, HIV and youth, social determinants of health, HIV treatment as prevention, viral suppression, staying in HIV care, and HIV and mental health.
