For 15 years, the Coors Light Líderes program has supported remarkable Latino change makers by awarding grants for their nonprofits, giving them well-deserved recognition, and a moment to refresh their spirits. This year, Jasmin Zamora was selected as one of the 2021 recipients for her work with Mujeres Latinas en Acción and granted $10,000 for the nonprofit. The leader has been supporting underserved communities in Chicago by promoting and creating philanthropic activities that empower Latinas and prevent violence against women, increase access to health resources, and advocate for a comprehensive immigration reform. “I’m honored to be recognized as one of the five Coors Light Líderes for 2021. To be part of this investment from Miller Coors, means I can bring critical funds back to my community in Chicago. Since 2016, I’ve worked alongside staff and volunteers at Mujeres Latinas en Acción and have seen the positive impact on Latinas and their families–empowering women through service, advocacy, healing, and so much more,” said Zamora. The Coors Light Líderes program launched in 2006. Since then, the program has helped fourteen Latino trailblazers empower their communities by awarding them with over $350,000 in grants.
