LISC Chicago announced the opening of applications for the 2022 Chicago Neighborhood Development Awards (CNDAs) and The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Award for Architectural Excellence in Community Design, which will be accepted through December 13, 2021. Now entering its 28th year, the CNDAs annually recognize the essential role that both nonprofit and for-profit developers play in building communities throughout Chicago. The CNDAs are the largest and most venerated celebration of the creativity and community investments that transform neighborhoods across the city each year. They recognize the outstanding achievements in neighborhood real estate development and community building, especially the achievements of community development corporations (CDCs), other community-based organizations and for-profit developers working to build stronger neighborhoods in the Chicago metropolitan area. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Central on December 13, 2021. Applications must be submitted online. A virtual Q&A outlining the CNDA application process will be held on November 19 at 10 a.m. Anyone interested can RSVP to cnda@lisc.org to attend the optional webinar. To apply and for more information on project eligibility and rules please visit http://app.lisc-cnda.org/.
