Sinai Chicago held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand new One Lawndale Community Care & Surgery Center located at 2642 West Ogden Avenue on Tuesday, December 7th. Leaders from Sinai Chicago joined local elected officials and community leaders in celebrating the new center and its impact on the community. Sinai Chicago has partnered with Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, the Habitat Company, and the Chicago Housing Authority on Ogden Commons, a mixed-use development project that is the biggest investment in North Lawndale in over a decade. The new center will offer updated and expanded outpatient health facilities and services where local residents will be able access expanded services for medical, surgical, and other crucial wellness needs. The center will open for patients in January 2022 and will feature an ambulatory surgical center, a digestive health center, and a renal dialysis center. The services will improve patient experience and ease of care navigation, decrease infection rates and recovery times, and lower healthcare costs, particularly for Medicaid and Medicare-funded patients with high rates of comorbidities.
