Hundreds of runners and aviation enthusiasts will get up close and persona with a busy airport. Channeling their inner Top Gun Maverick, ‘Rock n Run the Runway’ runners, walkers, and kids in strollers will have the opportunity to explore the runways of the Chicago Executive Airport (CEA), 1080 S. Milwaukee, Wheeling, IL. The event is open to the public. With a ‘no fly zone’ in place for the day, runners and walkers will enjoy a 5K runway course with professional time keeping, awards for best male and female finisher, participation medals, live music, fireworks, food, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy a display of small aircraft along the runway.
