Clerk of the Circuit Court Iris Y. Martinez is launching a remote language interpretation service on the website starting this week. The remote language service offers up to 200 languages. The top 50 languages spoken throughout Chicagoland are available on a drop down menu at the top of the webpage, with an additional 150 languages available upon request. The website’s homepage will feature a tab with a translator icon on the top right corner labeled Need Language Service that users can click to access the service. Once a user selects a language, they can type their question in their native language and receive assistance in that language. The interpretation and translation services are provided by InLingo interpreters and translator, and funded through a grant by the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts.
