St. Joseph Services, a Chicago based not for profit agency, hosted a grand opening event in their new location at 4123 W. Grand Avenue on March 28, 2023. The agency provides services that educate youth and adults, developing values and talents through collaborations to strengthen the communities in which they serve. Each year, St. Joseph Services provides educational and enrichment opportunities to over 1,000 youth and adults. Fundamental to the method of how St. Joseph Services serves is a focus on adapting services and programming to the needs of the community. The agency Vision is “Transforming Lives to Transform Communities,” a big promise with a significant impact on residents in the communities of West Humboldt Park and Austin. Adult programming includes English as a Second Language, Citizenship, and GED classes for students 18+. Youth programming, which will begin Summer of 2023 with registration beginning in April, includes Seasonal Camps beginning with a Summer Camp, After School Childcare and Tutoring, and Mentoring.
