Credit Union 1 is the new name-in-title sponsor of the iconic venue formerly known as the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre at Tinley Park, located in southwest Chicago. The celebrated outdoor venue, which seats more than 28,000 people and serves as a pillar of entertainment for over 400,000 fans annually, is now known as the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre. “Credit Union 1 (CU1) is excited to unveil the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park. The venue is a fantastic community hub for all of Chicagoland and builds on our partnerships with University of Notre Dame Athletics and University of Illinois Chicago to support the spaces and activities that bring people together and joy to members’ lives,” says Todd Gunderson, President and CEO of Credit Union 1. “CU1 is excited to use this significant stage to shine a light on how credit unions are the stable, community-focused solution for everyone, especially in times of economic uncertainty. We believe in Better Banking for All and look forward to spotlighting how credit unions like Credit Union 1 truly put people first.” The Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre is the latest addition to the company’s entertainment naming rights portfolio, furthering its commitment to the greater Chicago area. ”We are amidst a historic time in live music as fans everywhere continue prioritizing concerts to connect and make lasting memories,” said Andy Peikon, Live Nation’s Senior Vice President, Head of Venue Sales. “We’re thrilled the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre will be at the forefront of unforgettable live music moments for fans across the greater Chicago area with every show.” For over 30 years, the venue has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment across genres, including Paul McCartney, Jay-Z, Celine Dion, Elton John, and many more. The 2023 Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre show schedule includes performances by Shania Twain, Pentatonix, Snoop Dogg, Foreigner, Eric Church, and many more, with additional shows to be announced soon. The 2023 season will open with Janet Jackson on May 27.
