The annual Día de los Muertos event at the legendary Maxwell Street Market, presented by Humana, will return on Sunday, Oct. 29th from 9a.m., to 3p.m., at 800 S. Desplaines St. The activity filled day will feature live music from Sonorama; art fun with Somos Arte including a Día de los Muertos craft workshop, photo booth, face painting and community ofrenda. Other activities include family photographs by the Family Portrait Project with William Estrada and pumpkin decorating. Pumpkins will be available courtesy of Dotson’s Farm. The event will also feature family fun activities including games and inflatables. Alcohol service will also be available. The Chicago Vintage Festival joins the historic Maxwell Street Market for a not to be missed shopping experience. Guests will encounter over 50 vendors selling vintage and handmade goods. Chicago Vintage Festival will be offering free tote bags for the first 100 attendees. Early arrival is suggested. Costumes are welcome. Admission is free. Plan your visit at MaxwellStreetMarket.us.
