An unforgettable night with an endless array of decadent chocolates to satisfy every craving, AIDS Foundation Chicago’s (AFC) annual fundraiser, World of Chocolate, returns to Union Station (500 Jackson Boulevard) Friday, February 9, 6-9pm. Since its inception, World of Chocolate has raised over $2.9 million to fund vital HIV/AIDS services and programs provided though AFC. General admission and VIP tickets ($175-300) are now on sale and can be purchased at www.action.aidschicago.org. More than 15 Chicago chocolatiers and top chefs will participate in a “friendly competition,” judged by a panel of local influencers, for the titles of best businesses, libations, savory and sweet offerings and sculptures. Proceeds from World of Chocolate support AFC’s vision of a day in which people living with HIV or chronic conditions will thrive, and there will be no new cases of HIV including the Getting To Zero Illinois initiative of ending the HIV epidemic in Illinois by 2030. To achieve this, AFC is focusing on four strategic priorities through 2024: ending the HIV epidemic, teaming up for justice and change, uniting to end homelessness, and prioritizing racial equity. Last year’s event raised more than $250,000 to directly support the vital services AFC provides.
