On Wednesday, February 14th and Thursday, February 15th, Commissioner Aguilar celebrated Valentine’s Day with 16th District seniors. Over the course of two events, Commissioner Aguilar spoke with hundreds of seniors, passed out community resources, and discussed further ways to deliver support for senior residents. “We love our seniors!” said Commissioner Aguilar. “Getting to speak to and celebrate with seniors is always one of my favorite things to do. But more importantly, these events give us an opportunity to talk directly with seniors about resources and support that is available to them. By being accessible, we can ensure seniors are supported at every level.” On Wednesday, February 14th, Commissioner Aguilar celebrated Valentine’s Day at the Berwyn Recreation Center. Over 100 seniors were in attendance, and received health kits, calendars, and other community resources. Also in attendance were Berwyn Mayor Robert Lovero, Berwyn Assessor Jacquline Pereda, Berwyn Township Supervisor David Avila, and Berwyn Alders Scott Lennon and Richard Leja. Then, on Thursday, February 15th, Commissioner Aguilar joined Lyons Seniors at the Lyons Community Center.
