The Chicago Architecture Center (CAC), a national leader in architecture and design education that offers tours, exhibitions and programs for all ages and levels of design expertise, announced that Dr. Daniel Lopez, president of Harold Washington College, has joined the CAC’s board of trustees. “Great architecture and design strengthen and beautifies our communities,” said Dr. Daniel Lopez. “It also inspires minds and hearts, especially in our young people. As a leader of an educational institute that is open to everyone and offers certifications and degrees in architecture pathways, it is my honor to join the CAC as one of its Trustees. With this new appointment, I hope to serve our city well and bring the thoughts and ideas of our students to the forefront so they can help guide those who are building, creating and reimagining our great city.”
“Dr. Daniel Lopez’s dedication to fostering architectural education and inclusivity resonates deeply with the mission of the Chicago Architecture Center,” said Eleanor Gorski, CEO of Chicago Architecture Center. “As we welcome him to our esteemed board of trustees, we embrace his vision of empowering young minds and enriching communities through architecture and design. Daniel’s diverse perspective and passion for the field will be an invaluable addition to our Board, and I look forward to working together to shape the future of our city’s built environment.” The CAC Board of Trustees is charged with guiding and advising the nonprofit organization as it continues to serve Chicago.
