Community Savings Bank to Hold Another Popular Shred-a-Thon

Community Savings Bank will hold another one of its popular Shred-a-Thons this fall on Saturday, Sept. 28th. Customers and members of the community are invited to shred old checks, bank statements and other documents with personal information at no charge. A mobile industrial shredder will be parked at the bank’s main parking lot from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.* for personal papers to be shredded. Destruction of old documents is recommended to help prevent identity theft. Community Savings Bank is an independent neighborhood financial institution located at Cicero and Belmont avenues in Chicago. Community has been located in the neighborhood for over 75 years and at its current location on the corner since 1953. Community remains independent and is managed locally.
