Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Education

Students from the University of Illinois Chicago, Roosevelt University, City College of Chicago and more will face off in The Legacy League Game Show™, a high-energy competition for students that tests their credit knowledge for the opportunity to win prizes and increase financial awareness. With $5,000 in prizes on the line, students will showcase their smarts in a fun, fast-paced competition.  Imagine the “Price Is Right” combined with the fun of “Tuesday Trivia” and competitive spirit of “Family Feud.” Contestants selected from the audience will go head-to-head in a three-round gameshow, tackling real-life financial topics in an entertaining, educational format. The event will also feature a performance by the Golden Knights Drill Team, with will B96’s Karla Hernandez and DJ Elektrk in attendance to keep the atmosphere upbeat.  While 26 states mandate a financial literacy course for high school graduation, 40% of college students say do not have enough knowledge about how to manage money.
