Chicago honored the legacy of Pope Francis as Catholic churches across the city held a memorial mass, including at Holy Name Cathedral. Francis passed on Monday at age 88. In Rome, the Vatican opened St. Peter’s Basilica to the general public Wednesday to pay their final respects. Francis’ body will lie in state in the basilica until Saturday’s funeral and burial.
