American Red Cross is excited to hold the Brookfield Zoo Chicago Blood Drive on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Each day, the American Red Cross strives to collect more than 12,500 blood donations to meet the needs of patients at approximately 2,500 hospitals across the country and they are sensitive that the decline in blood donations during the summer may impact the blood supply. All pre-registered blood donors will receive:

• Free general zoo admission the day of the drive for one adult and up to two children

• Free parking in the Discovery Center Parking Lot

• A $20 Gift Card by email

• A special edition Red Cross hat (This cap complements the t-shirt presenting donors received in June!)

The blood drive will take place at the Brookfield Zoo Discovery Center, 3300 Gold Road, Brookfield, IL.
