State Representative Maria A. “Toni” Berrios (D-Chicago) will host a Community Job Fair on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 10am to 1pm p.m. at Apsira of Illinois, located at 3986 W. Barry Ave., in Chicago.
“Many of my constituents are experiencing economic hardship and struggling as they look for employment in a tough job market,” Berrios said. “This job fair is a way to help bring companies who are hiring to our community and provide job seekers with the assistance they need to be successful.”
Berrios’ community job fair will provide constituents looking for employment with an opportunity to receive free information on career opportunities, job training and resume writing tips. Some of the Community Job Fair providers include, Illinois Department of Employment Security, MasterCard, DeVry, Illinois Institute of Art, Amway Global, I-Hispano, and the Computer Training Institute of Chicago among many more.
Local residents will also have a chance to speak with representatives from the hiring companies and give out their resume. This event is free and open to the public.
