Rudy Lozano, Jr., is no stranger to advocacy. Growing up in Little Village, Lozano witnessed firsthand the struggle for working families and discovered the importance of educational programs in order to surpass poverty. For 15 years, Lozano has worked as a high school teacher, a counselor, and was part of the Workforce Development Program that helped develop jobs throughout his community. Lozano has advocated for job-training programs for displaced workers and stood alongside union members fighting for pensions and health insurance. He believes in organizing for better wages and working conditions to transform low-wage jobs into living-wage careers. A graduate of AmeriCorps, Public Allies Chicago, and, most recently, Leadership Greater Chicago, Lozano has analyzed today’s toughest social problems, brought together diverse groups of people to tackle those problems. If elected as state representative of the 21st district, he will represent the communities of Garfield Ridge, Brighton Park, Cicero, Little Village, Lyons, Summit, Riverside, Bedford Park and Stickney.

MISSION
We need strong leadership, someone who is going to fight for more resources that will help make our communities better, because they deserve better. If elected I will make sure working families never have to worry about putting food on the table. I will make sure there are enough resources for homeowners and continue to create a safe environment for our youth.
