Chicago Music and Dance International along with the Athenaeum Theatre present 2012 World Dance Day on Sunday, April 29 at 7 p.m. This unprecedented day of dance celebrates the 30th anniversary of International Dance Day, a world wide celebration held every April 29th and introduced in 1982 by the International Dance Committee of the UNESCO International Theatre Institute. Held at the historic Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave., Chicago, 2012 World Dance Day showcases performances by 11 of Chicago’s most exciting ethnic dance groups.
