State Rep. Cynthia Soto (D-Chicago) welcomed Chicago Bear great, Professional Football Hall of Famer and charity leader Richard Dent to the Capitol last Wednesday. Dent was invited to attend session on Wednesday afternoon as Rep. Jack Franks presented a resolution recognizing Dent’s impact on Chicago sports and community service through the Make a Dent Foundation. The resolution designates August 6, 2012 as Richard Dent Day.

“Richard Dent is a legend within the sports community and has contributed greatly to the state through his foundation” said Soto. “It’s important to recognize sports figures who take the time to give back to the community serve as positive role models for our young people.” To contact Rep.
