Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood will join in the worldwide festivities for Cinco de Mayo—the popular celebration of the Mexican army’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862—at its second annual Cinco de Mayo Festival on Friday-Sunday, May 6-8. The three-day fest will be held at 26th Street and Kostner. Admission is free. A truly authentic community cultural celebration, it will feature food, entertainment, artisans and activities for both families and children. A portion of festival proceeds benefit the Little Village Chamber of Commerce.
