On August 3, SAH Community Care Clinic, an affiliate of Saint Anthony Hospital, hosted a grand opening of its outpatient clinic in Little Village. More than 500 patients, community leaders, residents of the community and elected officials attended the opening at 3059 W. 26th Street and watched a young speech therapy patient cut the ribbon.

With its $5 million renovation project completed, Saint Anthony Hospital allowed members of the community to tour the 18,000 square foot medical office that was formerly a city Department of Health clinic as they enjoyed food, prizes and mariachi music to celebrate the opening of this state-of-the-art facility.

“When people ask us why we made such a significant investment into this clinic, our answer is simple – the people in this community deserve a clinic like this,” said Christine Raguso, vice president for Saint Anthony Hospital.

Speakers at the grand opening included elected officials Illinois Senator Martin Sandoval, Alderman George Cardenas and Cook County Commissioner Jesus Garcia, who all expressed the importance of having an outpatient clinic of this quality in Little Village.

“We are not only investing resources in the clinic; we provided over 40 construction jobs and over 50 new positions within all of the clinics’ service lines,” stated Guy A. Medaglia, president and chief executive officer, Saint Anthony Hospital.  The clinic will provide a variety of specialty services, including a non-profit dialysis center, occupational medicine, immediate care rehabilitation, state-of-the-art radiology suite, and ultrasound. SAH Community Care Clinic has partnered with Esperanza Health Centers, who will offer family practice, pediatric and obstetrics and gynecology services, and Sonrisa Family Dental, who will provide quality and affordable oral health care
