On March 12, The Field Museum will open its new exhibition, The Machine Inside: Biomechanics, which explores the idea of animals and plants surviving in nature as machines and all the devices that make them work.

The Machine Inside: Biomechanics will include real specimens, life-like models, video footage, and interactive displays and answers questions like, “How do cheetahs run so fast?”, or “Why can fleas jump so far?”

In partnership with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and funded by a grant from The Chicago Community Trust, this exhibition will be presented in both English and Spanish.
