Christina Cordova-Herrera of Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood was recently honored with Catholic Charities’ Employee Recognition Award for her excellent service as Bilingual Communications Specialist. The award is given to just three of the agency’s 3000+ employees per quarter, and includes a bonus and paid day off.

Cordova has worked for Catholic Charities for less than three years, but she has gradually taken on more responsibility and has excelled with each new task that comes her way. Cordova said, “I am extremely honored and grateful to receive this recognition from my colleagues. I am very proud to work at Catholic Charities and share my talents alongside such dedicated staff and volunteers. As a team member in the Communications Department, I get to share stories of our work as well as success stories from our clients, which inspire me each day to do the best I can to continue to fulfill our mission of helping those most in need in our communities.”
