The Town of Cicero kicks off the 47th International Houby Fest September 29th and runs through to October 4th with the Houby Parade starting at noon, Sunday Oct. 4, from Berwyn and heading east to Cicero via Cermak Rd. The official kick-off of Houby Day will be Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 11 am at Old Fashioned Candies, 6210 W. Cermak Road. The pageant will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday Sept. 29, at the Cicero Community Center where the 47th Houby Queen will be named. The Powder Puff Football game will be played at Morton West, Morton West against East Freshmen and Sophmore girls. The carnival will start October 1st in the Cermak “L” strip at Austin Boulevard. Food vendors and great line-up bands will perform Oct 2 through Oct 4th at the main stage located at Lombard and Cermak Rd.
