The ambitiously creative and talented Thalia flew into Chicago Friday, Oct. 16th to meet with her loyal fans at Macy’s on State Street during the showcase of her latest endeavor, the Thalia Sodi Fall Collection. “I am so happy to be here, in Chicago. I love Chicago,” said Thalia, during a one-on-one interview with Lawndale Bilingual Newspaper. “I am so excited to share with my fans my new collection. I put my heart and my soul into the line. I really thought about the today’s Latina. She is always on the go with her kids, her career, and her social life. So I wanted to create a line that honored their lifestyle,” said Thalia. The Sodi Collection includes figure-flattering dresses, faux-fur vests, which is a favorite of Thalia, faux-leather pants, bold prints, metallic tops, and vibrant colors, along with statement jewelry. “This line has everything for all types of women,” said Thalia. “If you are a woman who loves wearing black, we have plenty of options from prints to metallic that will go perfectly with the color black. This line is really a celebration of all women. Latinas are vibrant, passionate, fun, chic, smart, and sexy. I worked hard to reflect who we are as Latinas. So I truly hope my fans love the collection.” The Thalia Sodi Collection is available at 300 Macy’s stores nationwide and on macys.com. As for the budding fashion designer, Thalia had this to say. “You have to believe in your ability 100 percent. You have to work hard. You have to be committed to your craft. You have to be persistent. That’s truly the key to success. Persistency. There will be people in your life who will want to sabotage your dream, but you have to push them aside, be confident, and follow your dream.”
