Community Savings Bank hosted two free Home Buying Seminars this past May. One was presented in Spanish on May 14th and another one was presented in English on May 21st. These seminars were developed to help local residents understand the process of buying a home. They were held on Saturday from 9:00am to Noon. Both were well attended. Community’s Outreach Officer, Marisol Gaytan organized the seminars with Community’s home mortgage department. Both seminars had presentations from a local realtor, attorney, Northwest Side Housing Center advisor and a mortgage officer. The Home Buying Seminars covered a number of topics including: 1) Finding and buying your future home; 2) Applying for a mortgage; 3) Credit repair and special down payment programs; and 4) legal considerations.
