The Berwyn Police Department will be issuing additional citations for the upcoming Labor Day Holiday. This campaign will feature high visibility law enforcement with a variety of outreach activities. Extra emphasis will be given to the late-night hours when statistics show the highest rate of people drinking and driving and the fewest buckling up. The Berwyn Police Department will be conducting a safety enforcement zone on 08/26/2011 at Ogden Avenue and East Avenue. The costs of driving impaired or unbuckled are high both financially and emotionally when crashes occur. Therefore, the Berwyn Police Department is stepping up late-night enforcement efforts making sure impaired drivers are off the road and motorists are buckled up.
