Over the weekend a large crowd of supporters for projected winner U.S. President-Elect Joe Biden, according to several media outlets, and Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris descended onto the streets of downtown Chicago to celebrate what many feel is a historic win. From social distanced activities to civil unrest, many filled the streets with jubilation over what many labeled as a “new chapter” in American history. As of November 12th, no official winner has been declared in the race for president as states are still counting ballots.
